Neil delights in telling local audiences that he is from the other side of the Pennines - from Salford Lancashire, to be precise. He has been involved with Brass Bands since he was a teenager and specialises in the trombone.

Neil is former Head of Expressive Arts at Calder High and now teaches Music at Holy Trinity School in Halifax.
